Carol went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 10, 2016. We wish to thank all of the people at Genesis Health Care, Uptown, and Ambercare for the loving care shown to Carol. Memorial Gifts may be made to Operation Christmas Child c/o Garfield Gospel Chapel, 2406 Garfield Ave. SE., Albuquerque, NM 87106. Services are planned at French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2016, at 5:00 to 7:00p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Carol was born in Evansville, IN on May 11, 1939 to Rubin and Ella Marie Thene, an only child. Daughter of a tool and die maker, she became an expert with tools and anything mechanical. She was also an accomplished sketch artist and musician. She was baptized on May 22, 1966, at Methodist Temple in Evansville, IN. She was an elementary school teacher in Indiana, a chief accountant for Dillard’s and Macy’s stores in Phoenix, AZ, Denver, CO, and Albuquerque, NM. She was formerly married to Mr. Gene Forth of Phoenix, AZ. She has no living kin. She is survived by her care giver and longtime friend Robert Gleason, and lots of brothers and sisters in Christ, many at Garfield Gospel Chapel where she was in fellowship for the past several years. Thanks to all who visited Carol and prayed for her during her recent illness.
