David A. Lopez, age 70, born in Las Cruces, NM and resident of Los Lunas, NM passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017 with his family by his side. David is survived by his wife, Lessie Lopez; son, Robert Lopez and wife, Amy; daughters, Jessica Irwin-Jones and husband, Adrian, Lori Asselin and husband, Brian; mother, Mrs. Josephina Alvarez Lopez; sister, Irene Benegas and husband, Raymond; grandchildren, Jenae, Alyssa, Ciana, Celeste, Jon Michael, and Samantha; many extended relatives and friends. David was preceded in death by his father, Luis Lopez Jr. David was a Master Sergeant E-7 Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Vietnam Era; and a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at San Clemente Catholic Church, 244 Luna Ave, Los Lunas, NM with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. A Committal Service will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:45 p.m. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Garcia and Harvey Boggs.
