COMPTON, JOHN &Quot;JACK&Quot; ROBERT Age 66, passed away in Albuquerque on Monday, December 31, 2012. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1964 and from the University of New Mexico in 1968, with a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering. He moved to Baltimore, Maryland to work for Westinghouse Electric as a circuit design engineer in the area of power conditioning electronics. He earned numerous promotions at Westinghouse and also received several patents related to the regulation and control of three phase power supplies. In 1980, he moved back to Albuquerque and started his own electrical contracting business, Compton’s Electric, and worked as an electrician until his health declined. His mother and father, Collette Clara and William Robert Compton, and brother, William Joseph Compton, precede him in death. He is survived by his nieces, Sheri Compton and Christine Hendrickson and husband J.D.; a grand-niece Lily Grace Hendrickson; and sister-in-law, Susan Compton. Special thanks to Allen Hill, Doyle Hayes, and Tom Glacken for their long-standing friendship and support of Jack. Burial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, January 12th at 10:30 am, at the chapel at St. Mary’s Rest Home, 205 7th St. NW, with Father Joseph Vanderholt of the Immaculate Conception parish presiding. Interment on Monday, January 14th at 10:30 am at the Rosario cemetery in Santa Fe, with Deacon Don Roseborough presiding.
