FROONJIAN, MICHAEL 1924-2013 Also known as “New York Mike”, age 88, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013. He was a veteran of both WWII, and the Korean War. He retired from the United States Air Force in 1966 and returned to Albuquerque, NM. He sold life insurance for Metropolitan Life for 16 years. He was an avid bowler and golfer in his spare time. He also worked part time at the Kirtland Air Force Base Commissary. Mike was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Jennie Aragon-Froonjian. He is survived by his son, Michael Paul Froonjian of Albuquerque, NM. Services will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church Wednesday, March 27, beginning with a Rosary at 11:30 a.m., a memorial Mass at 12:00 p.m., with the burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to your favorite charity in Michael’s honor.
