CLAYTON-SHELDEN, WINIFRED E. Age 96, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away on Tuesday April 23, 2013 in Deming. She was a resident of Albuquerque since the 1920′s. Winifred met her husband E. A. at Albuquerque High, where they both graduated in 1933. She was a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church. She is survived by daughter, Carole J. Weld (Chuck) of Surprise, AZ; son, Gary F. Clayton (Judy) of Deming, NM; her five grandchildren, Randy (Bev) OK, David (Tracey) CA, Sandra, AZ, Steven (Carol) AR, and Jean (Jason) TX; 13 great-grandchildren, Virginia (Brandon) OK, Marie, OK, Jesseca, CA, Rachel, NM, Clifford, AR, Jenilee, AZ, Taylor, CA, Ellen, IN, Evan, CO, Clayton, AZ, Daniel, AR, Elliott, TX, Wyatt, TX; two great-great-grandchildren, Lily, OK, Haydn, OK; and a sister Kathryn of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Ella Rider; her husbands of 54 years E.A. Clayton and of eight years Alva Shelden; a grandson Mike; brothers, Harold and Robert; sisters, Thelma, Marion, Florence and Sibyl.
