ABBATE, COSIMO DOMINICK Age 88, of Albuquerque and a resident of New Mexico for 60 years, died Monday, August 5, 2013. He is survived by sons, David and wife Sandye Abbate, Jim and wife Margaret Abbate, Steve and wife Terri Abbate; daughter, Jane and husband Anthony Migliaccio; eight grandchildren; and sister, Rose Papish. Cosimo was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Abbate; parents, James and Cira Abbate; and brothers, Joe and Jim Abbate. He served in WWII as a Navy Corpsman on Iwo Jima. He was a member of The American Legion. Cosimo was an avid competitor in the Senior Olympics in swimming. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
