BUNDRANT, GEORGE T. (TOM) Age 64, a native New Mexican, lost his courageous battle with cancer on December 29, 2012. He graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1970 and was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. While attending UNM, Tom started a lifelong dedication to Lobo athletics. He became a proud supporter of the Lobo Booster Club and a season ticket holder to Lobo football, women’s basketball, and men’s basketball which he enjoyed with his family. He was an avid sports enthusiast enjoying a good round of golf or a great game of racquetball in his leisure time. Tom also enjoyed long walks along the Bosque with longtime life partner Kathy. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, partner, uncle, and friend, as well as a respected businessman to those who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Vivian Bundrant. He is survived by his daughter Lindsey Bundrant; daughter Abby Makarski and her husband Will; granddaughters, Annabelle and Ava Makarski; brother, Pat Bundrant; partner, Kathy Wilson; as well as extended family members and many dear friends. His weekly visits from his precious granddaughter’s, Annabelle and Ava, always left a smile on his face. AYRES, BILL J. passed away November 23, 2012, after a long, valiant fight to survive pancreatic cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, a sister, and two nephews. He is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Charleen; his daughter, Amy; her two sons, Thomas and Andrew; his son, Jeffrey; two sisters; a brother and their children and grandchildren. Bill was a teacher with Albuquerque Public Schools retiring in 2000. Bill and Charleen traveled across most of the contiguous United States and Hawaii. Charleen and he traveled in Europe as leaders of trips with the People-to-People High School Ambassador Program plus several tours to visit friends. A celebration of life service will be held February 9, 2013, at The Community of Christ Church, 4701 Juan Tabo Blvd. NE, 10:30am followed by a luncheon. BETHKE, JEAN ANDRESEN Age 89, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012. She was born on May 28, 1923 to Pauline and Arne Andresen in Buffalo, NY. She married Ernest Bethke on June 27, 1942. Mr. and Mrs. Bethke moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1970. She was a homemaker and part-time clerical worker and a member of St. John United Methodist Church since 1982. Mrs. Bethke was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Roy Andresen of Aptos, CA, and Jordis Sinclair of Lockport, NY. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Ernest Bethke, of Rio Rancho, NM; son, William Bethke and wife, Sharon, of Corrales, NM; daughters, Susan Papp and husband, Paul, of Aurora, CO, Patricia Foster and husband, Rick, of Brighton, CO; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. CLEMENTS, WILLIAM GEAROLD &Quot;BILL&Quot; Was born October 27, 1924 to William George and Mable Ethyl Hysom Clements in Fowler, Kansas. He was the sixth of seven children. His sisters, Pauline Wright, Della Barry, Leola Tillinghast, Pearl Youngs and his brothers Lloyd and James are all deceased. He is survived by his wife Jo Ann and his children Kathy Rosier of Cokeville, Wyoming, Deborah Case of Blue Springs, Missouri, and Mike Clements and his wife Michelle of Nederland, Colorado; stepchildren Jackie Kerby Moore and her husband Fred of Albuquerque, and Stephen Kerby, of Wagoner, Oklahoma. Grandchildren are Dee Dee Kerby, Mary Case, Willy, Charly, Kody and Kacy Clements. In addition, Bill is survived by his special family members, Jim and Kay Magovern, and Billy, Laurie, Jude, Lila and Hope Thiebaut. He also had a best friend, John Tonne. Bill retired from Mountain Bell Telephone Company in 1982 and relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico to join his new wife Jo Ann. They spent 30 years together and enjoyed a well-earned retirement. Bill and Jo Ann loved their children and grandchildren and would readily produce pictures and tell stories to anyone who would listen! Bill spoke with pride when relating his experiences during World War II. Bill joined the US Marines at age 17 and was discharged one day after his 21st birthday. He served in excess of 30 months in the Pacific, was honorably discharged in October 1945, and received a citation for his efforts. Bill’s life touched many people. His Mountain Bell assignments included Line School Instructor, Supervising Foreman, Corporate Safety Supervisor and Corporate Construction Manager. His knowledge of outside plant and his ability to relate to the craft employees enabled him to be instrumental in originating several training courses involving safety, pole climbing and operation of heavy equipment. For many years he traveled the seven states of Mountain Bell reviewing the safety and construction operations. He loved his work. By Bill’s own standards, he was successful. He left the place in better condition than it was when he arrived. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at FRENCH – Lomas, Wednesday, January 9, 2012 at 10:30 a.m.. LUSK, CHARLES N. beloved father of Jennie Lusk of Albuquerque and Liz Lusk of Madison WI, died at age 96 on January 7, 2013. A memorial service is planned for the Albuquerque Open Space just north of the Montano Bridge at noon Wednesday, January 9, 2013 and a celebration of life at Harwood United Methodist Church on Saturday at 2 p.m. In lieu of memorials, Charles’ daughters request that people do a good deed in his honor. Born to Bob and Ola Mae Lusk on December 17, 1916 on a farm outside Coolidge, TX, Charles served in the Army Air Force 371st bomb squadron in the Pacific from 1942-45. He and his wife of 44 years, Jean Remington Lusk, made their home in Roswell, where he owned car dealerships-Buick to Nissan-and brought Cable TV service to the area. Over his life he owned and rode plenty of horses and maintained an active church membership. He was especially proud of presiding over the church board during construction of the Roswell First United Methodist Church sanctuary. After Jean’s death, he and his wife, Mary (nee Reeder) Lusk lived and were active in Belen, NM until returning to Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his brother Bob Lusk and sister Margaret Evans. Besides his daughters and widow, he is survived by Liz’s partner Susanne Dane; his close niece Barbara Buzbee of Palm Springs, CA; and his grandchildren Lucy Gilster, Albuquerque; William Lusk-Claiborne, Madrid, Spain; Andrew and Liza Claiborne, Ft. Collins, CO; Andrew and Joanna Dane, Appleton, WI; and Emily Fleckner, Washington,DC. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, Spencer, Alex and Samuel Claiborne; Isadore, Eleanora and Roseanna Dane; his sister Barbara Sandoval; and many beloved nieces, nephews and close friends who were like family to him. He was a good man with a ready laugh and keen insight. He will be sorely missed.

She was married to George Besson for 57 years, who preceded her in death. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Onetia Stacy and Dorothy Johnson; and two brothers, Jack Kindred and Floyd Kindred. She is survived by her four children, Gordon Besson (wife Betty), Kenneth Besson (Vanessa Mercer), Melba Baum, and Tom Besson, (wife Sara Nurnberg); six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Joe Kindred and Bronelle (Pete) Kindred; and two sisters, Faye Cleal and Louise Beeson. Pauline was a long time member of Fruit Ave. Baptist Church and Victory Extension Club. She was a devoted mother and homemaker and an expert seamstress. She enjoyed making friends during the time she spent as an “Avon Lady”. The family would like to express their deepest and most heartfelt appreciation to the owners and staff of the Garland House and Dr. Suzanne Pinon, who cared for her the past 6 years. BROWN, ANGELLE Angelle Lorraine (Pumpkin) Brown of Bernalillo, passed away on January 2, 2013. Angelle is preceded in death by her parents, Louise U. Brown, and Chester K. Brown; grandparents, Nellie Shibley Mahboub, and Rogie Unes; brother, Kenneth G. Brown and wife; niece, Shirley Rosie Brown. She is survived by her twin sister, Annelle Louise Brown and husband Gary Larsh and their son, Sean Brown and his wife Melissa; brother, Ron R. Brown and wife Sue, and their two sons, Chet and Caton; Chet’s son Daniel, and Caton’s wife, Stephanie; nephew, Kenny G. Brown, and his son, Diego Brown Chavez and numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her two loving dogs, Sugar and Patches. Having been a lifelong resident of the Town of Bernalillo, Angelle had several different careers there. The last one she had was the one she truly loved, and the one she is best remembered for, Teaching. Having obtained a teaching Degree at the University of Albuquerque, and then a Masters at UNM, Angelle taught for nearly 20 years in Elementary schools in Bernalillo, before she retired. Many of those kids from her early years, who are now young adults today, still remember her fondly from their days in Elementary with her. She loved her”kids,” as she called them, and still remembered many of them very fondly even into her last days of her life. She had a number of cherished friends amongst her fellow Teachers and Aides, and always cherished their time together and their kindnesses towards her. Angelle will be missed by all of us who loved her. Please know that she now dances in Heaven, loving and still caring for those same kids that she danced with in her classes. The Rosary for Angelle will be recited on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM. COMPTON, JOHN &Quot;JACK&Quot; ROBERT Age 66, passed away in Albuquerque on Monday, December 31, 2012. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1964 and from the University of New Mexico in 1968, with a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering. He moved to Baltimore, Maryland to work for Westinghouse Electric as a circuit design engineer in the area of power conditioning electronics. He earned numerous promotions at Westinghouse and also received several patents related to the regulation and control of three phase power supplies. In 1980, he moved back to Albuquerque and started his own electrical contracting business, Compton’s Electric, and worked as an electrician until his health declined. His mother and father, Collette Clara and William Robert Compton, and brother, William Joseph Compton, precede him in death. He is survived by his nieces, Sheri Compton and Christine Hendrickson and husband J.D.; a grand-niece Lily Grace Hendrickson; and sister-in-law, Susan Compton. Special thanks to Allen Hill, Doyle Hayes, and Tom Glacken for their long-standing friendship and support of Jack. Burial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, January 12th at 10:30 am, at the chapel at St. Mary’s Rest Home, 205 7th St. NW, with Father Joseph Vanderholt of the Immaculate Conception parish presiding. CONDON, THOMAS PATRICK Captain Thomas Patrick Condon, U.S. Navy (Retired), beloved husband and father, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at the age of 88 end-stage Dementia. He had been a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico since 1973. He is survived by his wife, Doris Exum Condon of Albuquerque; his daughter, Colleen Groseclose and her husband, Bernard of Charleston, SC; two step-grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Capt. Condon was born in St. Petersburg, FL on April 2, 1925 to the late John Patrick Condon and Alice Horton Condon. The family moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1932. After graduation from Cathedral High School he enlisted in the U.S. Navy as an Apprentice Seaman, he was soon transferred to the Navy V-12 Officer Training Program. In 1946 he graduated from the University of California and was commissioned an Ensign, Supply Corps, U.S. Navy. Subsequently he served many tours of active duty, afloat and ashore, throughout the United States, North Africa, Europe, and the Far East/Western Pacific. He retired from the Navy in 1973 after thirty years of active duty service. Among many military distinctions he earned the Joint Service Commendation Medal. He relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico and was employed by the University of New Mexico as a Senior Accountant in the Audit Department and the School of Medicine Comptroller’s office, and later as administrator in the College of Pharmacy. He retired from this second career in 1987. He was a life member of The Retired Naval Officers Association, an active member of Sandia Kiwanis Club, and for many years enjoyed delivering Meals on Wheels. He will be remembered for his service to others and his engaging Irish charm. The family wishes to thank comfort keepers especially, Larry Edwards and the staff of Brookdale Place/Memory Care Section who supported Captain Condon during the final stages of his life and Tom Stewart and pastors for visits. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathryn Florey Condon; his son, Timothy Patrick Condon; his sister, Anna Maria Condon; his brother, John Joseph Condon and his stepson, Richard Bell. He was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
