FOARD, JOHN H. Age 87, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by love leaving and is now surrounded by love forever on Sunday Nov. 4, 2012. He was born in Hardin, Montana on December 26, 1924 to Arthur and Vera Foard. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and three brothers. John is survived by his wife, Barbara of the family home; his sisters Reatha Pack and husband Bud of Rapid City, SD; and Regina Williams of Laramie, WY; his daughters, Elena Womack and husband Ed of Elk City, OK; Colleen Grayson and husband Steve; Collette Foard and husband, Michael Otero; his son, Kenny Milligan and wife Kim; all of Magdalena, NM; his grandchildren, Robin Womack; Phillip Grayson; Denise Grayson; J.T. Milligan; Ryan Milligan; and Bryce Milligan; his loving nieces and nephews; and many close friends. John served in the US Army during WWII under General Patton. He came to New Mexico in the mid 1940′s. John worked for the H.C. Badger Co. on several ranches until he went to work as a government trapper in 1963. He retired in 1989 after 26 years of service. John had a love for music, he was an accomplished musician who played for his first dance at age 5. He was the New Mexico State Fiddle Champion in 1976. John also loved working with leather, building saddles and boots for several people. He had a special way about him. He was always eager to share his talents and knowledge with family and friends. His greatest joy was his family, his children and especially his grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Magdalena Schools Fine Arts building. Interment will follow in the Magdalena Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ryan Milligan, Collette Foard, Kenny Milligan, Steve Grayson, Michael Otero, and Courtney Borman. BUELL, ADRIENNE ELIZABETH (BUTTRAM) April 20, 1975 – November 3, 2012 Age 37, passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2012, while surrounded by her family. She is survived by her son, Brendan; father, Malcolm; mother, Paula; grandparents, Paul and Elizabeth Garrett; brothers, William and Daniel (and wife Sarah); nephew, Clayton; niece, Grace; aunt, Mary Lou Buttram, and uncle, Gary Garrett. Adrienne was a talented musician, excelling as a classical opera singer and blessing all those around her with her beautiful voice. Eli lettered in football and track at Rio Vista High School. He received an Honors GED and was awarded the New Mexico Lottery Scholarship. Eli was pursuing a pharmacy degree at Central New Mexico Community College. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Alvin and Elsie Edaburn of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He is survived by his mother, Myra Edaburn and his father, Tracy Edaburn, both of Albuquerque, NM; his sister, Elizabeth Seitz and her husband Matt, and his nephew Oliver of Clovis, NM; his maternal grandfather, Lloyd and Shelley Bret- houwer of Peralta, NM; his maternal grandmother, Patricia Brethouwer of Albuquerque, NM; plus numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. BALLOG, BEVERLY JUNE &Quot;BEV&Quot; 57, ended her courageous battle with cancer on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, surrounded by her friends and family at her home. Bev was born Aug. 25, 1955, to Bill Ballard and Juanita Parsons in San Marcos, Texas. She grew up in Houston and graduated from Westbury High School in 1974. Bev met Jim in 1971 at a motorcycle race in Houston, and moved to New Mexico in 1974. She and Jim married on Sept. 4, 1976, in Albuquerque. Bev was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed making jewelry. She sold Tupperware for many years and worked alongside Jim at their business, Electric Motor Company. Bev is remembered as a fun-loving, generous person who lived life the fullest. She loved reading, going to concerts, flowers, angels, her family and her many, many, friends. She was often the life of the party and regularly entertained friends and family at her home. She and Jim enjoyed traveling, and visited many popular vacation spots. For the past six years, Bev helped raise funds for battered women and children. She also did volunteer work for the American Cancer Society and other charities. Survivors include: her husband; son Levi; daughter Lanna Loomis; granddaughters Tino Ballog, Gabby Ballog, Taylor Loomis and Palin Loomis, all of Albuquerque; brother Desi Ballard of Austin; mother Juanita Parsons of Albuquerque; and father Bill Ballard of Houston. A memorial service celebrating Bev’s life will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at French Funerals, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE.

BOREN, EMILY JOSEPHINE Age 92, a resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, November 7, 2012. She is survived by her son, Sam J. Boren and wife, Dorothy; daughter, Linda G. Boren; grandson, Sam C. Boren and wife, Susan, granddaughter, Stacy M. Mitchell and husband, Miles; and great-grandchildren, Christopher S. Boren, Cassie L. Boren, Chance O. Mitchell, and Ty M. Mitchell. Mrs. Boren was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Sam Boren. Emily was a descendent of a pioneer family (Staehlin family) who located in New Mexico in the 1880′s. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church for over 50 years. Emily was also a member and past president of Albuquerque Assistance League. JASSO, VICENTE B. Age 87, resident of Albuquerque since 1991, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 after a two year battle with cancer. Mr. Jasso was born in Presidio, TX in 1925 and during WWII, was drafted into the service while still in High School. He joined the U.S. Navy and was assigned to the Heavy Cruiser, USS Wichita, (CA-45) as a lookout. While aboard the USS Wichita, Mr. Jasso, along with 900 other sailors, participated in the Guadalcanal Campaign in the Pacific Theater, conquest of Okinawa, Saipan, Guam and in the biggest naval battle in history, the 4 day, non-stop Battle of Leyte Gulf. The Wichita also escorted two hospital ships into Nagasaki Harbor to repatriate troops after the end of the war and assigned to the occupation of Japan. These abhorrently violent sea battles of the war left an indelible scar on him. After an honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy, Mr. Jasso finished High School and earned a BBA Degree in International Business at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX. Following a time in Texas, Mr. Jasso returned to New Mexico to help on the family farm in Loving, NM. He soon went to work at the Carlsbad Argus newspaper as an Editor. After encouragement from Managing Editor, Mr. Jasso took a job with the State of New Mexico in the Department of Insurance where he worked his way up and was appointed Deputy Superintendent in 1961 and subsequently, State Superintendent in 1981. During his tenure he championed for the rights of the consumer helping countless citizens with gridlocked insurance issues. He retired from the department after 33 years of loyal service. Mr. Jasso was also a member of many fraternal organizations and civic clubs including VFW #2951, G.I. Forum, American Legion, Elks Club, El Club Peralta, (Spanish Toastmasters) and PERA Retirees Association, Chapter 21. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maximiano and Manuela Jasso; brothers, Nieves and Benito Jasso; and sisters, Isabella Jasso, Lourdes Pena and Mary Hernandez. Mr. Jasso is survived by his wife of 34 years, Julie; and daughters, Glenda Porter, husband, Gary and granddaughter, Loren of Edmonds, WA, Carmella Jasso and granddaughters, Gabrielle and Adreanna of Santa Fe; sons, Vicente B. Jasso Roybal and grandsons, Keshav and Vilas of El Rancho and Thomas Goodman and granddaughters, Rebecca and Jessica of Livermore, CA; sister, Maria Magdalena Ortiz of Grandfalls, TX; his first wife, Prescilla M. Roybal; and numerous nieces and nephews. The Rosary will be recited Sunday, November 11, 2012, 6:00 p.m., at FRENCH – Westside, with visitation beginning at 4:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 12, 2012, 10:00 a.m., at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd NW. FELDMAN, BERNARD MARK Age 98, and a resident of Albuquerque, for 32 years and a former 66 year resident of Detroit, MI, died on November 11, 2012 following a short illness. Dr. Feldman is survived by his sons, Bruce Feldman of Albuquerque, William Feldman of Phoenix, AZ, Jeffrey Feldman of Oakland, CA; grandchildren, Nicole Feldman-Maxwell, Megan Feldman, Jonathan Feldman, Rebecca Feldman, and Alexander Feldman; and two great-grandchildren, Ethan and Adam Maxwell. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Blanche Feldman in 2007. A graduate of the University Of Michigan School Of Dentistry in 1936, Dr. Feldman specialized in children’s dentistry in Oakland County, MI near Detroit, for 25 years. He served in the US Navy during World War II, being stationed at Newport, RI. Active in the American Legion, Dr. Feldman was instrumental in the creation of a dental clinic for The American Legion Children’s Home near Lake Orion, MI. He was a member of Congregation Shaarey Zedek of Detroit, MI, and past member of Congregation B’nai Israel of Albuquerque. CHENAULT, SYLVIA WILSON Sylvia died Saturday, November 3, 2012. She was born on May 22, 1940 in Albuquerque. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Martinez; granddaughter, Emily; brother, David (Karen) Wilson; Robert Chenault; dear friends, Kirk and Chelsie; Ron Martinez and his mother, Lucy; and nieces, nephews and cousins. Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, Norwyn and Alice Wilson; and brother, Richard. She graduated from Valley High School and UNM. She was active in Girl Scouts for many years and directed camps in NM, CA and IL. Sylvia was affectionately know as “Sliver”, a nickname her grandmother gave her. Her first love was teaching. She was very active in Town Club at UNM and as an alumnus. She was a life-long member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She sang in the church choir, served on the church council, and was active in “SMILES”. In Women of the ELCA, Sylvia mentored younger women, held every office at the local level and also served at the cluster and synodical levels. Sylvia joined the Fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous in 2010. Her primary purpose in life became helping other alcoholics who still suffer. Because of her age and failing health, her sober living became an inspiration to many, both young and old. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 2:00 pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church 1100 Indian School Rd NE. DENNISON, WILLIAM EDWARD &Quot;BILL&Quot; Age 87, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his loving family Tuesday, November 6, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, June “Alice Logan”; daughters, Toni Meyer and husband Jeff and Teri McHugh; grandchildren, whom he taught to drive in Lindrith NM, where Bill and Alice built their dream home, Rachael, Jessica, Sara, and Wesley; great-grandchildren, Shawn, Domonick, Alyssa and Aubrie; his brother, Fred Dennison and wife Kaye and many other family and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Cecilia Dennison and his brother, Harold and his step-mom, Sally Dennison. Bill attended school in Oriskany, NY then joined the Army and fought in the Pacific during WWII. After the war, he was assigned to Guided Missile R&D in Pasadena, CA, and White Sands Proving Ground, NM. Bill worked on the development and firing of the Corporal Missile. Later he worked for NATO in Northern Italy and the Yugoslavia border training NATO soldiers. His next assignment was Okinawa supporting the Vietnam War under SEATO. After he retired from the Army, he worked in Waco, TX and Albuquerque NM for the Veteran’s Administration’s adjudication office. Bill was an avid fly-fisherman and hunter. He and that dumb old bird dog “Luke” hunted birds throughout this state that he loved so much. He had an amazing intellect and memory. He humbly considered himself a “storehouse of useless information,” but his family knew he was a genius. He will be remembered for his charm and quick wit and will be missed forever.
