ESQUIBEL, AMELIA CARRILLO 1918-2012 age 94, a resident of Belen, NM passed away peacefully on Tuesday Evening, November 13 at the Belen Meadows Nursing Home. She was born on February 10, 1918 in La Joya, NM to the family of the late Francisco and Margarita Carrillo. She married Patricio Esquibel on December 14, 1933 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in La Joya. To this union, seven children were born: Leandrito, Glissie, Martha, Roy, Frankie, Margaret and Tony. Patricio and Amelia had celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary in 2009. Amelia and Patricio had been members of Our Lady of Belen for the past 40 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Patricio Esquibel in 2010; parents, Francisco and Margarita Carrillo; son, Leandrito; grandson, Joey Esquibel; son-in-law, Leo Trujillo; and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Esquibel; brothers, Aristeo Carrillo and wife, Lucilla and Esequiel Carrillo and wife, Narcisa. Amelia is survived by her children, Glissie Esquibel and wife, Domie from San Antonio, Texas, Martha Trujillo from Los Chavez, Roy Esquibel and wife, Tommie from Albuquerque, Frankie Esquibel from Albuquerque, Margaret Montoya and husband, Jim from Los Lunas, Tony Esquibel and wife, Geraldine from Albuquerque; 19 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren; and four great-great- grandchildren. She is also survived by several God Children, nieces and nephews. A Public Viewing will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, November 16 at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. A Final Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church on Saturday, November 17 at 11:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Honorary Pallbearers will be the staff from Belen Meadows. ASHLING, JOSHUA JOHN WILLIAM Age 20, born, June 21, 1992; died unexpectedly on Nov. 10, 2012. Josh was a very friendly person whose friends quickly became lifetime friends. Josh will be remembered for his gentle nature, amazing heart, witty sense of humor and his one-of-a-kind spirit. MCLAUGHLIN, GWENDOLYN CLARDY BURK Born April 2, 1923 at Brookesmith, Brown County, Texas, Gwendolyn Clardy was the eldest child of William Harvey Clardy and Itha McBee. She passed peacefully from this earth on November 14, 2012 at Pinecrest Medical Facility near her home in Spalding, Michigan at the age of 89. Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Garret Burk & her second husband, Jack McLaughlin; her parents; a sister Cleo; and two brothers, James and Charles. She is survived by her four children, Pam (Ron) Brown of Montrose, Colorado; John (Ann) Burk of Montrose, CO; Charles (Betty Draze) Burk of Spalding, Michigan; and Richard (Debi) Burk of Kennewick, Washington; grandchildren, Garret Brown, Howell, Michigan; Greg Brown, Montrose, Colorado; Christine Burk, Maple Heights, Ohio; Sam Burk, Colorado; Joe` Burk (Schmidt), Pullman, Washington; Adam Burk, Preston, Idaho and great grandchildren Brette Brown, Howell, Michigan; Jacqueline and Marina Brown, Montrose, Colorado and Garret Burk, Fruita, Colorado as well as many nieces and nephews. Services provided by Allo Funeral Home, W3755 US 2 & 41, Spalding, MI, will be held on November 24, 2012 with Visitation at 3:00 PM, Service at 4:00PM, all times Central, by Reverend Brad Cochrane. BROYLES, ANNE ELIZABETH age 67, passed away on Nov 12, 2012. Daughter of Howard E. and Jean E. Viney, Annie left behind her husband of 19 years, Robert E. Broyles; daughter Julie Moseley; friends Trudy, Pat, Caren, Deb, Mary and Barb; and dogs Sassy, Nia, Cody and Hope. She is survived by stepsons Brad, Scott and Randy Moseley, and Robin, Rande and Richard Broyles. Her passions were family, dogs, friends, shopping, walking, and wine in any order. Most recently a homemaker, her life’s work included nutritionist, jazzercise instructor, travel director, and fabulous mom and grandmother. Annie was never at a loss for words, never missed an opportunity to meet someone new, and never forgot a name. Her beautiful smile lit up every room; she brought joy, hope, laughter and love to everyone. She will be missed by all. POPE, MICHAEL VINCENT Michael went home to be with Jesus on 11/2/12. He was 58 years young. He lived in Belen during the 70′s with his family and has lived in Pomona, California the last ten years. He is survived by his mother, Adele (Pope) Coplen of Alb; sisters, Angela D’ Ambrosio of Temecula, CA and Emily Hildenbrand of Carol Stream, IL; brother, Anthony Pope of Houston, TX. Locally, he is survived by his sisters Joan Artiaga-Armijo of Belen and Margie (Pope) Rothchild of Alb; brother Pierre Pope of Alb; 11 nieces and nephews; and 12 great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Angelo Michael Pope. Cremation has already taken place. A memorial service will be held for Michael on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at New Life Fellowship, 601 Christopher Dr. in Belen. He will be interred at Terrace Grove Cemetery in Belen next to his grandfather, Oliver J. Blais.

AMADOR, HENRY JAMES Age 61, a resident of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 14, 2012. He is survived by his brothers, Leroy Amador, Nick Amador, Reyes Amador Jr, John N Amador, Tom Amador, and Rudy P Amador; Sisters, Sally M Dominguez, Fannie Jamison, and Rosemarie Fernandez. Henry was preceded in death by his sisters, Delma Vigil and Henrietta Amador; and his parents, Reyes and Mary Amador. Henry was an artist and a sculptor and he loved creating art. He was known for his dry sense of humor, and always made people laugh. He worked at Renegade Advertising. He was the youngest of twelve brothers and sisters. DETRICK, BRYAN &Quot;SCOTT&Quot; 1972-2012 Age 40, of Los Lunas, was returned to the Lord on Friday, November 16, 2012 after battling brain cancer. He was born on November 9, 1972 in Carlsbad, NM. He grew up and was educated in Carlsbad until he moved to Albuquerque in 1987, and then to Los Lunas in 1988. Bryans tremendous faith and love for the Lord was an inspiration to everyone who was blessed to have met him. He worked for the Los Lunas Community Program for 14 years. He loved to be outdoors, playing softball, fishing, golfing and camping. He was a major fan of the Carolina Panthers. His gigantic heart, bright smile and famous bear hugs will forever be missed. He was a loving husband, dad, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was preceded in death by grandparents Dick and Harriet Turner; and Robert and Ruth Detrick; Uncle John Detrick; Aunt Ruth Ann Detrick-Mitchell; Uncle Rick Turner; father-in-law, Gary Johnson; and beloved dog, Sampson. GUERRERO, WILLARD MICHAEL, CMSGT. Age 90, of San Francisco, CA, died on Veteran’s Day, Sunday, November 11, 2012 at the University of Virginia Medical Center. He was born on Wednesday, April 26, 1922 in San Francisco, CA, a son of the late Michael John and Matilda (Loaiza) Guerrero. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Hilary Jean; his wife Hilda; and a sister, Consuelo Friere. CMSgt Guerrero served in the Army Air Corps and United States Air Force from 1943 until his retirement in 1973. He began his career as an aircraft armorer and gunner. Following WWII he retrained into the administrative career field and ended his military career as an administrative superintendent. He served at home in several states and abroad in Japan and Germany. Family members include his son, LtCol Willard C. Guerrero, USAF (Ret) of Lake Monticello, VA; a sister, Alicia Jones of Santa Clara, CA; three grandchildren, Christina Marie Argiolas, Catherine Louise Guerrero, Michael Henry Guerrero; and two step grandchildren, Dr. Lauren Elizabeth Parker and Therese Ellen Brandon. ALGERMISSEN, ROBERT L. Age 90, a resident of Albuquerque since 1968, died Monday, November 19, 2012. He is survived by loving wife of 59 years, Margaret Mary; daughters, Mary and husband, Tatum M. Sheffield of Missouri City, TX, and Margaret and husband, Dr. Francesco Bertoni of Rome, Italy; sons, Robert (Col., Ret., US Army) and wife, Jane of Albuquerque, Dr. Anthony and wife, Dr. Holly Dietz of Albuquerque, Francis of Rowlett, TX, and Andrew of El Paso, TX; ten grandchildren, Charles and Michael Sheffield, Anna, Ella, and John Algermissen, Andrew Algermissen, and Clara, Daniel, and Leonardo Bertoni; brother, Joseph of San Antonio, TX; and his sister, Eileen Hayden of Columbia, MO. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles; brother, James; and granddaughter, Isabel Bertoni. Robert graduated from the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, NY on D-Day, 6 June 1944 and became an Air Force pilot. Highlights of his career included Masters Degrees in Nuclear Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology and in Public Administration from Harvard University; a tour teaching cadets in the Mathematics Department of West Point; a tour in War Plans at Headquarters United States Air Force and as Director of Engineering at the Aeronautical Systems Division, Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton, OH. He retired from active duty as a Colonel in 1968 and then worked at the AF Special Weapons Center and AF Weapons Laboratory until 1984. He was an avid golfer, recording two holes-in-one and shooting his age regularly beginning at age 72. He was a Rules Official for the Sun Country Amateur Golf Association for nearly 25 years. As a volunteer he also served as an instructor in the Albuquerque Adult Literacy Program. Over all, he was a pretty good guy. Rosary will be recited Friday, November 23, 2012, 7:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE.
