CONE, LOIS JEAN MILLER Lois Jean (Jeannie) Miller Cone was freed from the tyranny of Parkinson’s disease, which she battled for nearly 27 years, on December 19, 2012. Born April 5, 1937, in Cleveland, Okla., to A.L. and Endinola Miller. Burial Services will take place at the City of Lubbock Cemetery, Lubbock, Texas December 26, 2012, 2:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Eastern Hills Baptist Church, 3100 Morris NE in Albuquerque on Saturday, December 29, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. Rejoicing with Jeannie in her freedom are her husband of 56 years, Claude W. Cone of Albuquerque; her daughter, Catherine Cone of Marshall, Texas; her two grandchildren, Lauren and Chase Cone of Albuquerque; her brothers and their families: Larry and Camille Miller of Albuquerque and Bob and Joyce Miller of Alpine, Texas; Claude’s brothers and sister and their families: Larry and Jeri Cone of Lakeland, Fla., Terry and Joyce Cone of Portales, Jim and Carolyn Powell of Granbury, Texas, and Ray and Alice Cone of Odessa, Texas. Jeannie loved children and was an elementary school teacher in Texas and New Mexico. She especially enjoyed teaching 4th grade. She also taught in Sunday school and Vacation Bible School, directed children’s choirs and was active in the Woman’s Missionary Union in churches where she and her husband served for a total of 28 years as pastor and wife in Texas-Slide Baptist Church, south of Lubbock; Central Baptist, Crandall; First Baptist, Howe; Parkside Baptist, Denison; Calvary Baptist, Lubbock; and First Baptist, Pampa. She loved music, especially hymns, sang in the choir and played the organ and piano. From 1985-2005 she was New Mexico Baptists’ first lady, while her husband served as executive director of the Baptist Convention of New Mexico. She resumed her role of loving and supportive pastor’s wife when Claude was called to be pastor of Monterey Baptist Church in Albuquerque in 2005. Jeannie’s greatest love was the Lord Jesus Christ, whose love she shared everywhere she went. Her favorite hymn was “Great Is Thy Faithfulness,” and her favorite Scripture was Psalm 139. Charlotte was born in Denver, CO and grew up in Albuquerque. She was a graduate of La Cueva High School in 1994 and was a New Mexico Symphony Senorita. She attended the University of New Mexico. Her children were her life and she loved being a stay-at-home mother. She had a lifelong love of camping and the beautiful outdoors. Her favorite place was the family ranch near the Valle Caldera. She was an experienced horsewoman and her passion in life was rescuing abandoned and abused dogs. Charlotte established the Tri-Community At Risk Animal Rescue in Oracle. She was responsible for spaying and neutering over 1,000 animals this year, as well as rescuing and placing numerous abandoned dogs and cats with responsible pet owners. Charlotte had a God-given talent for singing that was evident from a very early age and shared her beautiful singing voice throughout her life. She performed for numerous organizations at various functions and we know that she is currently singing with the angels in Heaven. She was also a member of Albuquerque Assembly #20, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. She was recognized for her public speaking receiving multiple statewide honors, including the Grand Cross of Color which is the highest honor afforded to active Rainbow Girls. Charlotte always marched to a different drummer and lived her life in her own inimitable way. Services will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at FRENCH – Wyoming. A celebration of her life will follow. Private interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jimmy Anderson, Johnny Cummins, Tommy Cummins, John Jon Herrera, Jason Armstrong and Dr. Barney Carter. BEUERLE, ROBERT K. &Quot;BOB&Quot; Age 60, a resident of the Albuquerque area since 1980, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012 in the comfort of his home. He was born on August 19, 1952 to Willard and Miriam (Rhodes) Beuerle of Traverse City, MI. He will forever be remembered as an incredible husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and trusted, loyal friend. Mr. Beuerle taught his family how to live and enjoy every aspect of life. Together, he and his wife, Sue, owned and operated a very well respected company, Mountain States Meat and Poultry. He was a humanitarian and was a former President of The Optimist Club, and former Board Member of All Faiths Receiving Home. His humanitarian efforts crossed into other countries, too. He and his wife were able to help send 75 students in Africa to school. Mr. Beuerle enjoyed traveling and camping with his family. He was an avid hunter and passionate about teaching new hunters. He was preceded in death by his parents. He spent much of his life in Amarillo, Texas, Berrien Springs and Savannah, Georgia. The last six years he has lived in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Herb served proudly in the United States Air Force in the early fifties and was a Korean War Veteran. Herb worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for thirty years. He cherished his memberships at the Elks Lodge, The American Legion, and the Moose Lodge. Herb never met a stranger and always liked to visit with his Lodge friends, his neighbors, and his family. Herb was preceded in death by his wife Maurita Coleman; by his son Craig Coleman and daughter-in-law, LaJuana Coleman of Placitas, NM; sisters Gwendolyn Susie Murphy of Naples, FL, Patricia McLaughlin of Savannah, GA, Cindy Sutton of Charleston, SC; brothers Hugh Coleman of Atlanta, GA , Bert Coleman of Woodstock GA and Stephen Coleman of Tybee Island, GA. COBURN, RICHARD DONALD &Quot;RICK&Quot; 57, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at his home in Albuquerque, NM, after a long and hard fight with cancer. Rick was born February 18, 1955 in Albuquerque, NM to Richard and Marilyn Coburn. He and his parents moved to Estancia, NM when Rick was 3. Rick then moved to Albuquerque after graduating from Estancia High School in 1973. Rick worked for the Public Service Company of New Mexico for 37 years, starting as an apprentice and eventually teaching the apprenticeship program and becoming supervisor of the meter department. He also spent many years coaching and umpiring little league baseball and softball and in later years became an avid golfer, choosing to spend most of his free time at Isleta Eagle Golf Club, where he was a member. Rick was preceded in death by his daughter, Allison Michelle Coburn; and his father, Richard L. Coburn. He is survived by Debbie Sue (Juckett) Coburn, his devoted wife of 37 years; son, Ryan Lee Coburn of Albuquerque; daughter, Bethany Denise Coburn of Albuquerque; mother Marilyn Coburn of Estancia; sisters, Pamela (Coburn) Burchett and husband William Burchett of Estancia, and Lynn (Coburn) Noyes of Estancia; and three grandchildren.
