Willie Chavez Trujillo June 19, 1930 – April 21, 2016 Jose Guillermo Abran (Willie Chavez) Trujillo, age 85, resided for the past 10 years in Rio Rancho, NM. He previously resided for 53 years in Barstow, CA. Willie passed away peacefully in his home due to natural causes incident to age on Thursday, April 21st, 2016. Willie was born on June 19, 1930, in Casa Colorada, NM. His parents were Juan Trujillo and Luisa Chavez. He had eight siblings, all of whom preceded him in death. Their names are: Enrique, Nestor, Florenio, Espirion, Jose, Jesus, Herman and Adan. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ellen (Cooky) Trujillo Alcantara. Willie enlisted in the Army at age 19 and served during the Korean War in Germany. After an honorable discharge, Willie secured employment at the Marine Corps Depot in Barstow, CA, where he served the remainder of his career as a depot level overhaul mechanic for marine vehicles. At the conclusion of his two year Army commitment, he married the beautiful Florinda Barreras in September of 1952. He is survived by his wife, Florinda, and daughters Peggy Trujillo Nielsen and her husband Lt Col (U.S. Army retired) Harold Kriss Nielsen of Idaho Falls, ID, and Sandra Trujillo Baca and her husband Leroy Baca of Lucerne Valley, CA; his sons, Steven Alcantara of Rio Rancho, NM, Daniel Boyd of Ft. Bliss, TX, and Angel Cordova of Rio Rancho, NM; 9 grandchildren: V. Kriss Nielsen, Steven Alcantara, Valancy Nielsen Bastian, Jared Nielsen, Adam Nielsen, Deanna Nielsen Dickson, Cooky Baca, Adrian Baca, and Seth Nielsen; 33 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Willie’s favorite hobby was restoring antique vehicles. Willie had a very compassionate nature and he loved animals. He spent a lot of time visiting and providing compassionate service to his brothers during times of illness. Willie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Susan D. Kuhnee “Suzy Q”
Kuhnee, Susan Dorothy (born April 3rd, 1947 in Boston, Massachusetts) “Happiness lives in hearts that love.” Susan Kuhnee (Suzy-Q) passed away peacefully at the age of 69 on April 26, 2016 in Rio Rancho, NM surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle against lung cancer. She is preceded in death by daughter, Melissa McMahon; father, Arthur Geis; mother, Dorothy Geis; niece, Catherine Gregory; and nephew, Eric Post. She is survived by husband, Tom Kuhnee of Rio Rancho, NM; daughter, Jennifer Wood of Kalamazoo, MI; step-daughter, Tanya Kuhnee of Albuquerque, NM; step-son, Charlie Kuhnee of Jackson, MI; sister, Carol Gregory (Michael Piel) of Dallas, TX; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She and Tom were married for nineteen years. Susan served as a salesperson in the electrical industry. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her family and friends, collecting shoes, listening to Elvis and country music. Jesse O. Faulkner
Jesse O. Faulkner passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 26th, at his home in Albuquerque, NM. Jesse was born in Haskell, TX in 1936. One of seven children, Jesse learned the importance of hard work at a young age. He realized that he had a knack for fixing things so he pursued career opportunities that furthered his desire to be self employed, utilize his mechanical talent and his ability to put people at ease. Jesse and his first wife Charlotte Krause had three beautiful children during their short time together. Jesse met his current wife of 47 years, Betty in Pueblo, CO. They shared a love of travel, hard work and dedication to their combined 7 beautiful children. Jesse was a pillar of the community, he was a hard working, dedicated and self taught businessman. He owned many service stations, gas stations and auto repair facilities. His last business venture prior to retirement was Jess’s Economy Tire and Auto where he enjoyed working with his children and grandchildren. Once retired, Jesse enjoyed traveling all over the country with his beloved wife. They traveled extensively and settled down in Peralta where they lived a country lifestyle. He finally realized his dream of owning a horse, other livestock and the slower pace of life. He reached a point where all of his dreams were met. He and his beloved wife moved back to Albuquerque where they spent his final days laughing, loving and enjoying each other’s company. Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, sister, three bothers, son, William R “Randy” Johnson, daughter, Jenny E Matthews. He is survived by his wife, Betty A. Faulkner, brother, James Faulkner and his wife Janice, brother, Steve Faulkner and his wife Janece, son, Roger Faulkner and his wife Janice, sons, Jeffrey Johnson and James Johnson, daughter, Carrie Hubly, daughter, Mandy Wood and her husband Russ, 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends who loved him. Castellano, Candelario Age 89, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2016. Candelario enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic church since 1957. Rodriguez, Ruben Age 78, passed away Friday, May 6, 2016. He was born in Bisbee, AZ on August 1, 1937. He was a land developer, artist, writer, father and friend who passed away surrounded by loved ones. He came to Albuquerque in the 1970’s and began to develop North Albuquerque Acres, Pajarito Land grant, and Volcano Cliffs. He enjoyed painting pueblos and writing books and most of all cooking for his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Mary and Sipriano Rodriguez; his brother Fred Rodriguez; and his niece Charmaine. He is survived by his children; Rebecca Lynch and her husband Jim ; Herk Rodriguez; Kathleen Blea; Ty Whatley, Monica Rodriguez-Hudson and her husband, Brande; Ruben (Rod) Rodriguez Baldonaldo II and his wife, Dominque, J.O. Rodriguez and his wife, Melanie. She was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Sanchez; grandmother, Beatrice Sanchez; mother-in-law, Ruth Llamas and brother in-law, Fernando Llamas. She leaves behind her loving husband, of 20 years, Rudy Llamas Jr.; her beautiful children, Matthew, Melanie and Mikayla Llamas; her brother, Frankie Sanchez Jr. and wife Alicia; uncle, Michael Sanchez and wife Martha; grandfather, Juan Sanchez; father-in-law, Rudy Llamas and sister-in-law, Angeline Llamas.
